Her professional background includes work as a legislative aide for the Rules Chairman of the Florida House of Representatives, an executive assistant for state agencies including the Department of Revenue and Department of Insurance, and service as Executive Director of the Broward County Commission on Alcoholism.
She also owned a successful small business and, for the past 16 years, has worked as a licensed Community Association Manager, managing condos and HOAs, working as the legal assistant to Gary Poliakoff, and as an instructor for Gold Coast Professional Schools.
Since moving to Deerfield Beach in 2019, Karen has lived in Century Village East and champions its 8,000 year-round residents. Recognizing the district’s blend of senior citizens and families, Karen has served in various leadership roles within her condo association, and currently serves as its treasurer. She is also a COOCVE representative.
Karen’s long record of volunteerism and civic work reflects her belief that good government relies upon ongoing community input. With her legal, governmental, and nonprofit experience, along with her hands-on approach to problem-solving, Karen continues to promote citizen involvement, transparency, and collaboration for the benefit of Deerfield Beach and all who call it home.
